Hello again. Here is the latest from Madagascar Gems.

I enjoyed seeing and saying hello to some of you at the recent Las Vegas Gem Shows.

Gilbert is in the bush on another expedition. Contacting the miners, picking the best and leaving the rest. Often he is rejecting all that is offered because the quality is not up to top facet grade standards.

He wants to know who may be interested in star sapphire rough... and possibly star ruby rough. He must have run into some interesting material. Please let me know of your possible interest.

We have a shipment of blue sapphire, white beryl, and cabbing grade corundum currently being processed through Customs. I should have it by the end of this week.

Sixteen grams of the blue sapphire and 300 grams of the beryl are not spoken for, and are available. Send me an email if you want the sapphire parcel or some of the beryl.

I am not sure how the beryl will heat treat. Sometimes this material turns blue, sometimes pink, and sometimes yellow. Sometimes it just stays white.
