Sellers of Quality Gem Facet Rough

Malaya garnet in a pretty pink color (below), or premium quality (above), or even color change (bottom) is available from Madagascar Gems. Malaya garnet in several variations is now coming from our mining grounds and neighboring mines. Quantities are small, but the stones are nice. The premium malaya garnet is coming from a neighboring mine in 1 to 3 gram sizes. This material will cut spectacular gems. We can buy this rough for you at a reduced price by buying at the mine. The miner is getting big dollars for this rough in the capital. It occasionally pays to bring in supplies and equipment, and do other favors for our neighboring miners. Malaya garnet in pink is more affordable, and more suited to production cutting. This material is coming from our own grounds... and so far, is showing up in sizes approaching 1 gram.
These mining grounds are in a remote, semi-arid part of southern Madagascar. Travel is by foot, motorcycle, or 4 x 4 vehicle. The arid and brushy terrain allows us to get a full size 4 x 4 vehicle in to our mining grounds. Opening and operating our own mines in the gangster-infested region has compelled us to buy a larger, (well) used vehicle. In order to carry a firearm for security, mining equipment, rice and other food staples for the miners, or passengers, we needed the additional hauling capacity. Here is a photo of the Jeep Cherokee (with a 2 litre Renault diesel engine) on the highway approaching the turnoff into the bush. Our mining grounds are only 2 hours away!
Malaya garnet deposits are now being mined, as is our blue-green kornerupine deposit. Our reef containing aquamarine and beryl of other colors is being explored and mapped. A few grams of material will be shipped to the USA in the next shipment. Some of this material will be subjected to heat treatment to determine if it will turn blue, pink, golden... or not. We expect to be shipping aqua and other beryls to our USA office by the kilo within a couple of months. Here is the photo of the color change malaya I promised above:
Malaya garnet is my keyword phrase, and I needed to get it in one more time at the end of this text... but what I really need to say in closing is that I will be sending emails with offers of various roughs to you over the next several days. Send us an email to reserve or inquire about the facet rough you need.
Tell us what rough you are interested in, and we can probably get it for you. Just contact us by email (guarded by anti-spam solution).
